Article 5(4) of the Building Control Regulations prescribes the “Building Control Management System” as the information technology-based system hosted by the Local Government Management Agency and developed to facilitate the electronic administration of building control matters by building control authorities as the preferred means of building control administration; this means that the BCMS is the preferred means of administration of Notices to Commence (Commencement Notices), Applications for Fire Safety Certificates, Applications for Disability Assess Certificates, Applications for Dispensations from and Relaxations of requirement/s of the Building Regulations, Submission of Certificates of Compliance and maint of the Building Register.
